What we do
learn4dev’s priorities define our wide range of activities. These include:
- Effective networking in the field of competence development and learning for all staff categories.
- Enhanced and efficient joint learning events for staff at headquarters and at the country level. Our members are informed and can sign up for these programmes.
- Advanced and competent cooperation in eLearning and IT-based knowledge sharing.
- Identification of useful areas of cooperation in competence development, many of which are addressed by Expert Groups that are led by our members.
How we work
As a network, learn4dev operates through an Annual Meeting and a set of Expert Groups that work on priority topics. The groups’ topics are identified and endorsed by the annual workshop. In turn, many of the Expert Groups organise meetings and learning events and share knowledge online throughout the year.
We share knowledge through our Annual Meeting organised by the Core Group. Participants mainly come form our member organisations. We share new ideas, present programmes and our Expert Groups report about their developments. One or – more often – two donors share the responsibility of hosting our network’s workshop each year which is part of the Annual Meeting. It is expected that all participating members will take turns to host the annual workshop.
